Setting up the Helio Air sensor

The Helio Air is a plug-in indoor air-quality sensor. Setup takes about five minutes; accurate readings take about a day.

Placement

• Plug it into a wall outlet at roughly chest height, in the room where you spend the most time.
• Keep it at least 1 m away from kitchens, windows that open, air vents and humidifiers. These create local spikes that do not reflect the room.
• Do not place it inside a cabinet or behind furniture. The sensor needs airflow on all sides.

Pair to Wi-Fi

1. Plug in the Helio Air. The LED breathes blue while it waits for the app.
2. In the Helio app tap Add device → Helio Air.
3. Choose your 2.4 GHz network and enter the password. The LED turns solid white when the sensor is online.

The Helio Air uses the same Wi-Fi rules as the T2: 2.4 GHz, WPA2/WPA3, no captive portals.

The first 24 hours

The CO₂ and VOC sensors self-calibrate against the cleanest air they see over the first day. During that time readings can look high or drift. This is expected. Leave the sensor plugged in and, if you can, open a window for 20 minutes at some point on day one so it sees a clean baseline.

Pairing with a Helio T2

If you also own a T2, open Devices → Helio T2 → Air quality and choose your Helio Air. The T2 will run the fan for 15 minutes when PM2.5 or CO₂ crosses the thresholds you set.

LED reference

• Breathing blue — pairing mode
• Solid white — online
• Amber — connected to Wi-Fi but not to Helio cloud
• Off — check the outlet; the LED can also be dimmed to off in Settings → Night mode
